MVH Drapery (“we”, “us”, “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through mvhdrapery.ca, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
We handle personal information in accordance with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and, where it applies to commercial electronic messages, Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).

MVH Drapery supplies and installs custom window coverings — drapery, blinds, shades, smart home automation and related hardware — for residential, commercial, hospitality and wholesale customers.

Information you give us
We collect information you enter into forms on our website:
- Contact form — your name, email address, subject and message.
- Appointment request form — your name, email address, phone number, the products you are interested in, and your message.
If you purchase from us, place a custom order, or book a consultation, we also collect the information needed to fulfil it: your service address, measurements, product selections, and payment details. Payment card details are processed by our payment provider and are not stored by us.
Information we collect automatically
When you visit our website we and our service providers collect technical information through cookies and similar technologies: your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, pages viewed, time spent, referring website, and general location.
We use the following services, each of which may set its own cookies:
- Squarespace — website hosting, form submissions, e-commerce
- Google Tag Manager — manages the tags below
- Google Analytics — website traffic and usage measurement
- Google Ads — advertising measurement and remarketing
- Meta (Facebook) Pixel — advertising measurement and remarketing

- Adobe Fonts — website typography
How we use your information
We use personal information to:

- prepare quotes and estimates, and arrange in-home measurements;
- fulfil orders, schedule installation, and provide after-sales support;
- send you appointment confirmations, reminders and service updates;
- send marketing communications where you have consented, and only until you withdraw that consent;
- improve our website, products and services;
- measure the effectiveness of our advertising;
- meet our legal, tax and regulatory obligations.
Mobile information and text messaging
If you provide your mobile number, you may receive text messages from us relating to your enquiry, appointment or order.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing with subcontractors who provide support services, such as our messaging platform provider, is permitted solely so that we can deliver those messages. All other categories of use exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
You can stop receiving text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message from us. For help, reply HELP, or contact us using the details above. Message and data rates may apply. Full details of our messaging program are set out in our Terms and Conditions.
Who we share information with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only:
- with service providers who process it on our behalf — website hosting, messaging, payment processing, delivery and installation partners — and only to the extent needed to perform that service;
- with advertising and analytics providers, as described above;
- where required by law, or to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim;
- in connection with a business transfer, such as a sale or reorganisation of the business.
Some of these providers store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States. Where that happens, the information may be accessible to the courts and law enforcement of that country under its laws.
Cookies and your choices
Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies through their settings. Blocking cookies may affect how parts of this website work.
You can opt out of Google Analytics using Google’s browser add-on, and adjust advertising personalisation in your Google and Meta account settings.
Email and text message consent
We send marketing emails and texts only to people who have consented to receive them, as required by CASL. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and every text can be stopped by replying STOP. Withdrawing consent takes effect promptly and does not affect messages relating to an order or appointment already in progress.
How long we keep information
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, and to meet legal, accounting and warranty obligations. Enquiries that do not result in an order are deleted once they are no longer needed. Order and warranty records are kept for the life of the warranty and any period required by law.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect personal information against loss, theft and unauthorised access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your rights
Under PIPEDA you may:
- access the personal information we hold about you;
- correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- withdraw consent to our use of your information, subject to legal and contractual limits;
- ask questions or complain about how we handle your information.

Children
Our website and services are directed at adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Our website may link to third-party websites. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of any site you visit.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always posted on this page with its effective date. Material changes will be brought to your attention where required by law.
